The Indians opened Panhandle Conference play with a 101-73 win over #6 Tallahassee.
It was a group effort on the offensive side of the ball with six players in double-figures. Daniel Oladapo led the team with 19 points and nine rebounds. Malik Zachery and Keishawn Brewton both scored 17 points, Cameron Gooden had 12 points, LaQuan Butler had 11 points, and Ibrahima Sankare had 10 points and eight rebounds.
"I'm super proud of our guys' attention to detail tonight," said Coach Brendan Foley. "We came out locked in defensively and had great energy."
Foley was really happy with the ability to protect their home court in front of such a great crowd.
"I thought Chipola Nation really showed up tonight and we played in front of a great crowd," he said. "Our goal was to protect our home court and we did that."
Chipola moves to 18-1 on the season. They're back in action at #8 Northwest Florida State on Saturday, January 12, at 7:30 p.m. CST. They'll be back at home on Wednesday, January 16, as they host Pensacola State.
