Lady Indians Travel to Daytona Beach for First Road Games

The Lady Indians traveled to Daytona Beach for their first road games on the season.

On Friday, Chipola dropped 80-78 to Daytona State at the buzzer.

Ariel Cummings led the team with 27 points and nine rebounds. Rachel Johnson had 15 points, Isadora Sousa had 13 points and seven assists, and Rachel Wilson had 13 points.

On Saturday, they bounced back with a 117-45 win over Trinity Prep.

Cummings recorded a double-double with 16 points and 14 rebounds. Mbaya Sembene and Ifunanya Nwachukwu both added in 15 points.

The Lady Indians are back in action at home on Friday as they host East Central Community College. Tip is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. Tickets are $5 and are available at the gate. Appreciation Club members receive free entry with their pass.
