Indians Beat Pirates 12-6
Both CHIPOLA Indians and Pensacola State College had their offenses going on Saturday, but CHIPOLA Indians eventually prevailed 12-6.
CHIPOLA Indians took an early lead in the second inning when Julio Carrion singled on a 2-0 count, scoring one run.
After Pensacola State College scored two runs in the top of the third, CHIPOLA Indiansanswered with two of their own. Pensacola State College scored when Jack Dellinger induced Foreman to hit into a fielder's choice, but one run scored. CHIPOLA Indians then answered when Francisco Urbaez singled on a 3-2 count, scoring one run and Alex Webb grounded out, scoring one run.
CHIPOLA Indians took the lead for good with six runs in the fourth inning. In the fourth Max Guzman singled on a 1-0 count, scoring one run and Webb doubled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring three runs.
Dellinger pitched CHIPOLA Indians to victory. He allowed one hit and one run over three and two-thirds innings, striking out two. Christian Collazo and Chase Forester entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief.
Bryant was on the mound for Pensacola State College. He lasted three innings, allowing five hits and six runs while striking out one. Ginn and Breeden entered the game as relief, throwing two and two-thirds innings and one-third of an inning respectively.
CHIPOLA Indians totaled ten hits in the game. Carrion and Edmond Americaan all collected multiple hits for CHIPOLA Indians. Americaan and Carrion each collected three hits to lead CHIPOLA Indians.
Rulli went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Pensacola State College in hits.
