Indians Hold Off Raiders
Even though CHIPOLA Indians gave up five runs in the sixth inning, they still defeated Northwest Florida State 12-6 on Saturday. Musgraves, Polcovich, and Fitzgerald all moved runners across the plate with RBIs in the inning.
Both pitching staffs had their hands full, frequently dealing with runners on base. CHIPOLA Indians collected 14 hits and Northwest Florida State had eight.
In the first inning, CHIPOLA Indians got their offense started when Max Guzman homered on a 0-1 count, scoring two runs.
CHIPOLA Indians notched four runs in the fifth inning. The offensive firepower by CHIPOLA Indians was led by Morgan McCullough and Edmond Americaan, all driving in runs in the inning.
Jose Visaez was on the mound for CHIPOLA Indians. He went three innings, allowing zero runs on zero hits and striking out three.
Greathouse led things off on the hill for Northwest Florida State. He allowed six hits and six runs over two and a third innings, striking out one and walking zero. Routzahn and Angel entered the game as relief, throwing two and two-thirds innings and one inning respectively.

Northwest Florida State racked up eight hits. Musgraves, Fitzgerald, and Cienfuegos each collected multiple hits for Northwest Florida State.
