Indians Top Gulf Coast
Julio Carrion showed timely hitting on Thursday, driving in four on three hits to lead CHIPOLA Indians past Gulf Coast State College 7-3 on Thursday. Carrion drove in runs on a home run in the third and a home run in the fifth.
Phillip Sanderson led things off on the rubber for CHIPOLA Indians. He lasted six and two-thirds innings, allowing two hits and three runs while striking out four.
Rice got the start for Gulf Coast State College. He allowed five hits and six runs over three and a third innings, striking out three. Greenich threw four and two-thirds innings in relief.
CHIPOLA Indians collected eight hits. Carrion and Francisco Urbaez all managed multiple hits for CHIPOLA Indians. Carrion led CHIPOLA Indians with three hits in four at bats.
