Indians Victorious Over Govs
CHIPOLA Indians stole the lead late in the game in a 6-4 victory over Wallace Dothan on Friday. The game was tied at two with CHIPOLA Indians batting in the bottom of the fifth when Edmond Americaan doubled on a 2-1 count, scoring one run.
CHIPOLA Indians got things moving in the first inning, when Max Guzman homered on a 0-2 count, scoring two runs.
Wallace Dothan knotted the game up at two in the top of the second inning. Lewis drove in two when he singled.
Phillip Sanderson earned the victory on the pitcher's mound for CHIPOLA Indians. He allowed seven hits and two runs over six innings, striking out seven. David Meadows threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen.
Arredondo led things off on the hill for Wallace Dothan. He went five innings, allowing six runs on seven hits and striking out five. Agosto threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen.
Guzman went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead CHIPOLA Indians in hits. CHIPOLA Indians was sure-handed and didn't commit a single error. Guzman made the most plays with ten.
Wallace Dothan totaled ten hits. Dorsey and Leno each had multiple hits for Wallace Dothan.
