Urbaez Leads Indians Past Raiders
Francisco Urbaez was clutch at the plate with runners on base on Tuesday, driving in four on three hits to lead CHIPOLA Indians past Northwest Florida State 10-1 on Tuesday. Urbaezdrove in runs on a single in the fourth and a home run in the seventh.
CHIPOLA Indians secured the victory thanks to six runs in the fourth inning. Edmond Americaan, Urbaez, Max Guzman, Jared Howell, and Julio Carrion each had RBIs in the big inning.
CHIPOLA Indians got on the board in the first inning. Alex Webb singled on a 0-1 count, scoring one run.
In the bottom of the third inning, Northwest Florida State tied things up at one when Randasingled on a 1-0 count, scoring one run.
CHIPOLA Indians pulled away for good with six runs in the fourth inning. In the fourth Americaan singled on a 3-2 count, scoring one run, Urbaez singled on a 1-0 count, scoring one run, Guzman singled on a 2-1 count, scoring two runs, Howell's sac fly scored one run for CHIPOLA Indians, and Carrion singled on a 1-2 count, scoring one run.
Andrew Grogan took the win for CHIPOLA Indians. He went seven innings, allowing one run on five hits, striking out eight and walking one.
Farr toed the rubber for Northwest Florida State. He went four innings, allowing seven runs on 12 hits and striking out three. Angel and Sloan entered the game from the bullpen, throwing two innings and one inning respectively.
CHIPOLA Indians racked up 14 hits. Urbaez, Americaan, Howell, and Webb each managed multiple hits for CHIPOLA Indians. Urbaez led CHIPOLA Indians with three hits in five at bats.CHIPOLA Indians didn't commit a single error in the field. Webb had eight chances in the field, the most on the team.
