Indians Sign Sixteen to the Next Level
The 2025 Chipola baseball team had yet another successful signing class being moved on to the four year and professional levels. The class saw sixteen players sign to continue their careers at the next level headlined by first baseman J.C. Vanek being drafted in the 14th round by the Kansas City Royals. Vanek decided to forgo his commitment to Florida State University and begin his professional career.
Right handed pitcher Austin Brown continued the pro trend by inking a deal with the New York Mets and forgoing the rest of his collegiate eligibility as well. The next fourteen players all signed to the division 1 level across multiple different conferences. Sam Parker took his talents to the SEC and signed with the University of Missouri. Three other Indians inked with Power Four conferences as Freddy Beruvides signed with the University of Pittsburg, Colin Guerra with Kansas University, and Jacob Boland with Purdue University.
Four Indians decided to take their talents to the Sun Belt Conference when Cole Garner and Zaid Diaz inked with Troy University, while Collier Barham signed with in state foe South Alabama. Rounding out the Sun Belt additions was Josiah Seguin, who signed with James Madison University.
The ASUN picked up two Indians when Dallis Moran signed with Stetson University and Jack Smith to Eastern Kentucky University. Miguel Hugas and Ismael Borrero took their talents to the SoCon and signed with Mercer University. Rounding out the class saw Luke Williams head to Conference USA and sign with Jacksonville State University, while Cam Freeman signed with Longwood University in the Big South Conference.
With the addition of the 2025 class, that takes the total to over 350 Indians who have moved on to four year schools after their time at Chipola. The 2025 class covered nine different conferences, all at the division 1 level, with two players starting their professional careers straight out of Chipola.
