Chipola Indians Sweep East Georgia College in Four-Game Series
Chipola Baseball moves to 19-1 on the season.
The Chipola Indians completed a dominant four-game sweep of East Georgia College over the weekend, outscoring the Bobcats 46–5 behind explosive offense, strong pitching, and clean defense.
Game One – Chipola 10, East Georgia 0
Chipola opened the series with a shutout victory as Tyler Correa delivered a two-run single to start the scoring. Drew Colon earned the win on the mound, allowing just three hits over five scoreless innings.
At the plate, Michael Mullinax and Correa each collected two hits, with Correa driving in three runs. Jeremiah Gary added two stolen bases as Chipola turned a double play in an error-free performance.
Game Two – Chipola 8, East Georgia 2
A five-run fifth inning powered Chipola to its second straight win. Garrett Harper, Michael Mullinax, Seven Alemais, and Peryn Bland all contributed RBIs during the rally.
Chipola jumped out early behind an RBI double from Tyler Correa and a two-run home run by Kane Moye. Kael Gahan picked up the win, striking out five in four innings. Andrew Hammock and Michal Kovala combined for scoreless relief work.
Jeremiah Gary led the offense with two hits and three stolen bases, while Moye and Mullinax each drove in two runs. Chipola stole four bases and turned two double plays without committing an error.
Game Three – Chipola 11, East Georgia 1
Chipola broke the game open with five runs in both the second and third innings. Hudson Gilman highlighted the second inning with a two-run home run, while Peryn Bland, Jeremiah Gary, and Colin Guerra added RBIs.
Hutson Trobaugh earned the win after allowing no hits and one unearned run over three innings. Clinton Harris followed with two shutout innings in relief.
Offensively, Colin Guerra led the team with four RBIs, while Gary, Guerra, and Anthony Clavet each recorded two hits. Nick Croce and Tyler Correa drew two walks apiece as Chipola worked six total walks in the game. The defense was flawless, led by Croce with four chances.
Game Four – Chipola 17, East Georgia 2
Chipola completed the sweep with a season-high 17 runs, highlighted by a fourth-inning grand slam from Kane Moye. The Indians offense was paced, with RBIs from Jeremiah Gary, Garrett Harper, Anthony Clavet, Michael Mullinax, Derek Gonzalez, Nick Croce, and Seven Alemais.
Cannon Feazell earned the win after two scoreless innings, while Asher Sabom added a shutout relief appearance with three strikeouts.
At the plate, Alemais, Harper, Mullinax, and Tyler Correa each posted two-hit performances as Chipola finished with 13 hits.
